Verona's state-mandated affordable housing's objective is to offer and provide qualified, low and moderate-income families, individuals, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities with opportunities for obtaining affordable housing while at the same time promoting economic self-sufficiency for families and individuals, continued independent living for senior citizens, and reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.
Affordable housing is considered affordable to those with a median household income or below as rated by the national government or local governments.
The Affordable Housing Dashboard is an interactive data visualization tool with selected data entered in the Affordable Housing Monitoring System by New Jersey municipalities pursuant to N.J.S.A 52:27D-329.4. It is intended to make Mount Laurel affrodable housing unit and trust fund information for New Jersey municipalities accessible in a flexible, easy-to-use format. The dashboard contains data for each municipality that reported a project with units in the system. The dashboard contains four tab: Data Dictionary, Affordable Housing Projects & Units, Affordable Housing Trust Funds and Affordable Housing Supply & Demand.
The Home Improvement Program is funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program. It provides Deferred Loans to low and moderate income homeowners who occupy a 1 to 3 family home. Click here for more information.
