Superintendent of Public Works
The Federal Lead and Copper Rule (40 C.F.R. Sections 141.80 to 141.91) mandates that public water systems perform sampling for lead and copper in single family residential homes. Your participation as a resident is essential for the Township to fulfill this regulatory requirement. By volunteering to provide a water sample, you will play a vital role in helping the Township monitor drinking water quality. This sampling will be conducted at no cost to you. The results will be mailed to you once the Township has received them.
The Township will compile a list of residences that have agreed to participate. On September 15th, a water bottle along with instructions will be delivered to your front door. The Township will arrange for pickup a pick up from your location the following day on the morning of September 16th. This process is completely contactless, and the Township will manage all logistics. The Township is asking residents to advise if you are willing to participate by Friday, August 29th.
