For generations, Everett Field has been a place where Verona residents of all ages have gathered to play, connect and make lasting memories. The Township is proud to continue that tradition by making the batting cages available to residents whenever scheduled games and practices are not in session.

The field itself is open to the public during designated Open Play times starting this Saturday, September 12th from 9am - 3pm, giving residents an opportunity to stay active, practice their skills or simply enjoy the field and its amenities with family and friends. Open Play times are listed on the Recreation Calendar at VeronaNJ.org/Recreation.

The Township is currently trialing the Open Play schedule to better understand community use and determine what schedule works best for residents and the field. The Township will evaluate the trial period after October and use that feedback and experience to develop a more formalized Open Play schedule moving forward.

The ADA-accessible playground is also open to the public at all times, providing another opportunity for residents of all abilities to enjoy Everett Field. We invite residents to take advantage of these shared spaces and continue making Everett Field a place where everyone in Verona can play, connect and create new memories.
