Marriage or Civil Union License

How to apply for a Marriage/Civil Union License:

Appointment is required to apply for a Marriage/Civil Union License, please call 973-857-4832 to schedule.

Evening hours are available at the Community Center on the first Monday of every month from 4:30pm-7:30pm, unless it lands on a holiday. The last appointment is 7:00pm.

Please bring the following:

• Completed application. Please fill out the first page only. Page 2 will be completed during appointment.
  • Marriage License Application
• Proof of identity by presenting a valid driver’s license, valid passport or state ID with photo. 
• Proof of Verona residency for at least one applicant. 
• Witness 18 years of age or older, with valid driver’s license. 
• $28 application fee, check made payable to Verona Township or cash (exact change).
