Linden Ave Corridor Study & Temporary Demonstration Project

Through grant funding, three temporary traffic patterns were introduced in the Fall of 2024 to explore methods for enhancing traffic safety. The goals included:

  • Reducing traffic speed
  • Minimizing cut-through traffic
  • Facilitating walking and biking along the Linden Ave corridor

These temporary demonstrations provided a cost-effective approach to test various scenarios and gather community feedback prior to making permanent changes. In collaboration with the Verona Police Department and the Complete Streets Technical Assistance Program, new traffic calming measures will be considered before the paving of Linden Ave, which will also be financed by a grant issued by NJDOT.
