  • Get Outdoors & Stay Active with Verona Recreation

            Verona Recreation is striving to get people outside and explore nature by offering a range of programs which utilize the Hilltop Reservation and all that it has to offer. To help people get acquainted with the area, Verona Recreation is now offering a few unique opportunities. The newest outdoor program seeks to familiarize adults 18+ with the trail system by offering guided hikes in the evening from the end of June through July. The level of difficulty will vary from week to week as different parts of the trail system are explored. Currently a ‘Lil Hikers’ program is running, which introduces younger children ages 4-6 along with a caregiver to the different trails offered in the area. More...

  • 2013 Summer Recreation Information

    The Verona Recreation Department has announced its summer program list for 2013.  These programs are only available to Verona residents and a valid driver’s license is required when registering as proof of residence.  All playgrounds cost $200 per child and there is a maximum of $400 for a family.  There are no refunds and residents can pay by cash, check or credit (Visa or MasterCard)

    Online and in-person registration begins on April 1, 2013 for all playgrounds.  Tot-Lot registration must be done in-person. A special in-person registration for all programs will be held at the Verona Community Center on April 6, 2013 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  After May 31, there will be a $30/$50 late fee for playground registrations and a $10 late fee for all other programs. Verona Senior Club Christmas Party

The Verona Senior Club in conjunction with the Verona Recreation Department holds an annual Christmas Party complete with music and an appearance by Santa. This year the party was held at Ravello's in East Hanover and a great time was had by all.
