Preparing for predicted weather

Verona's Department of Public Works is taking action in conjunction with the Township, Verona Police Department and County, to ensure all necessary precautionary measures are taken.

IMPORTANT: Fall is here and so are the leaves, which can swiftly block our waterways during storms. Please assist us in preventing unnecessary flooding by clearing any debris or obstacles that might obstruct stormwater drains. This simple action will help ensure that water can flow freely.

Additional Storm Preparation Tips:

  • Secure all outdoor furniture, decorations and objects
  • Stay away from downed wires
  • Avoid unnecessary travel
  • Report a power outage by texting OUT to 4PSEG (47734) or call 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).
  • Dial 9-1-1 in an emergency
  • Visit Ready.NJ.Gov for updates and more safety tips
