Verona Fights Hunger Week starts this week. During Monday's Township Council Meeting, Mayor Tamburro recognized the Junior Women's Club of Verona with a Proclamation for their 12th Annual Verona Fights Hunger Week food drive.
Since 2013 nearly 24,000 bags of non perishable items and over $50,000 in monetary donations have been collected for local food pantries.
You can bring donations to the following locations in Verona during normal business hours:
Shopping list items include breakfast cereals, canned good, peanut butter & jelly, dried rice and pasta, boxed milk, cleaning products and paper goods. Verona Fights Hunger will conclude Saturday, October 18th with a celebration at Town Hall where the donations will be loaded onto a moving truck to be taken to Human Needs Pantry.
