The milling phase has been completed and the lots are currently open. Please be cautious when driving/walking, raised manholes and catch basin are present, marked with cones. 

The paving phase is expected to begin Thursday, October 2nd - Friday, October 3rd during which the lots will be closed. Please continue to follow Township of Verona for additional updates.

This summer Verona Public Works in collaboration with the Verona Police Department tested a new traffic pattern at the Verona Community Center. After evaluation throughout the summer it was determined that the new traffic pattern was successful in enhancing the flow of traffic around the annex building, reduced the number of cars between the upper and lower field parking lots, lessened cut-through traffic and improved overall pedestrian and vehicle safety.

This week, the new traffic pattern will be solidified. Weather depending, the Verona Community Center Parking Lots which include the main community center lot, Veteran's Field lot and Centennial Field lot will be milled and paved on Thursday (9/25) and Friday (9/26).  There will be no access to the parking lots (highlighted in orange below) during the following times:

• Closed:  Thursday, 9/25, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (approximately). 
• Open: Thursday, 9/25, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Closed:  Friday, 9/26, from 7:00 AM to Saturday, 9/27, at 7:00 AM.

The Verona Community Center Playground will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to inaccessibility. Parking will be available in the Freedom Field parking lot, as well as limited parking on Linn Drive and White Rock Road. Please plan accordingly and allow for necessary travel time.

The Community Center offices will remain open during construction. Please monitor your email for any updates that may be specifically related to any recreation program you are currently enrolled in.
