Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for a special showing of Happy Gilmore 2, steps away from its filming location at the Civic Center! On Friday, August 8 at 8:15 PM, Verona will host a Movie Night under the stars on the Civic Center Lawn (600 Bloomfield Ave). 

In September 2024, Sandler and his film crew shot scenes in the Verona Civic Center while the HB Whitehorne cafeteria served as the crew’s canteen. The movie follows Happy Gilmore, a former hockey player that turns pro golfer, in a sequel to Sandler’s 1996 hit comedy.
