The Verona Environmental Commission will be co-hosting a green ribbon cutting event with the Girl Scouts to open the Grove Park Fairy Trail installation on Saturday, 7/17/21 at 10:00AM, 42 Grove Ave.

This event has largely been created by Sam Cuniffe, a Cedar Grove HS senior who is going for her Gold Award. 

The coveted Gold award is the culmination of a series of Girl Scout awards designed to add to one’s education, knowledge base, confidence and abilities. Under 6% of all Girl Scouts achieve the Gold Award.  Sam has worked with various Girl Scout troops, among others, to organize the creation of the fairy house project (miniature models created using green materials) and on Saturday, those houses will be displayed along the Grove Park trail. 

Sam also redefined the Grove Park Trail which had become blurred over the past few years.
