Police Department
The Township of Verona is served by a police department consisting of a Police Chief, 31 sworn officers, 3 full time professional dispatchers, 3 administrative personnel, 32 school crossing Guards, and a full time Emergency Management Coordinator and Communication specialist.

The police department is located in the Municipal Building at 600 Bloomfield Avenue and has a separate public entrance on Bloomfield Avenue. There is a full time detective bureau that handles all adult and juvenile complaints and follow-up investigations. The DARE Program has police involved in our schools with students in grades one, two, five and seven. Police personnel are also available for home safety inspections as part of our crime prevention program. Also infant car seat inspections are available for our residents.
