Recreation Background
Checks
To foster safety and security of the children who participate in
Township recreation programs, it is the policy of the Township of
Verona to conduct a criminal history record background check on each
prospective and current volunteer/employee participating in any
Township endorsed or sponsored programs that provide recreational,
cultural, charitable, social or other activities or services for
persons younger than 18 years of age.

Verona Recreation-Exercise
Verona Recreation announces a new exercise program for inactive
adults looking to improve their fitness levels. The program,
“Rediscover Fitness” is set up for twice a week on Mondays and
Wednesdays, from 6-7pm at the Verona Community Center beginning
January 20. It is an eight-week series with a fee of $60.00.
Registration begins immediately at the Verona Recreation office and
a late fee of $10 will be assessed beginning at 4:30pm on Friday,
January 16.
The instructor is a certified
personal trainer and will be using resistance bands, balls and hand
weights. The exercises are done to music in a non-threatening
atmosphere, and can be duplicated at home.
